They love to play and dress them and take them places, as if they really were their mommies.

I have a daughter that first began her love affair, with a certain doll, when she was only 18 months old. The relationship was a bit rocky at first as my little mommy pulled her baby’s hair and competed with the doll for bottle and binky use. Yet as the weeks passed the love my baby had for her baby grew to complete devotion.

She fondly named the baby doll Bah-Bah-Toe (don’t ask, I don’t know) and they have been inseparable now for several years. The cementing moments of the relationship occurred when Bah-Bah-Toe was given her own dollhouse. At first this was a humble dwelling that consisted of nothing more than a few cardboard boxes stacked and taped together.

At Christmas time that year, when my daughter was 2, the idea of getting her a brand new doll was down right blasphemous. Bah-Bah-Toe reigns supreme. One evening as my husband and I observed our little mommy lovingly reciting a story to her precious baby and tenderly tucking her into one of those cardboard rooms it struck us: Bah-Bah-Toe needs a real house.

Finding the perfect dollhouse for our daughter and her baby was not too difficult but was a decision that required some care. There are so many options out there. The first thing to consider is size. In our case the house needed to be able to inhabit the doll we already had. For those who may still need to populate the new residence the size concern is moot. Yet size is still an issue. Tall dollhouses pose a tipping threat and a climbing temptation for little ones. The last thing you want is the dollhouse to become memorable because of your child’s King Kong impression and the ensuing trip to the ER.

Dollhouses that are overly intricate, ornate or small similarly don’t work for toddlers. Those gorgeous Victorian ones are great, but a toddler will destroy it before the sun sets on Christmas day. Those with fine detail and small furnishings also pose a choking hazard. What a toddler needs is a dollhouse that isn’t too big, and isn’t too small. There are several varieties on the market that your daughter will be thrilled to call her own.

Many dollhouses come with just that: the house. Other brands come with a load of extras including play figures, furniture and clothing for the dolls. Price and your existing collection of accessories is a great way to decide what you need for your daughter’s Christmas wishes to come true. If you have many dolls already, then a house by itself is probably the way to go. For those just beginning their doll collections, a house that comes with extras will have a higher price tag up front, but when you factor in the cost of buying extra pieces separately, it might be the better deal.

Our little mommy has grown so much we hardly recognize the 2 year old who squealed with delight as she tucked a baby named Bah-Bah-Toe into her new house for the first time. Yet she still loves that doll, and her dollhouse where her doll baby lives.

What joy she has gotten from those toys and what a great investment they have been in the growing of her imagination.

Why not? Call them and they’ll show up at your child’s next birthday party. You can use them when some villain tries to break up the celebration. Check out all these cool G-Force birthday supplies and find out how you can be protected.

Get the action going by sending out some G-Force Invitations. Your operation may begin top secret, but you don’t want it to stay that way. Mail these and everyone will know that a huge party is about to start. Like any protective agency, it’s important to be prepared.

You’ll be prepared if you order a G-Force Deluxe Party Pack. It’s a complete package of plates, cups, activity placemats, and more so you can serve refreshments and know your tasty offerings are safe. Then, inflate the balloons (with a Helium Tank accessory) and unroll the crepe paper rolls. Spread the tablecover. Get set for a meeting like no other when the agents arrive!

To keep all your partygoers peaceful while you set up, be sure to stock up on G-Force Tattoos. The agents kids will be too busy putting on these designs to start trouble. The tattoos are also no trouble to wash off, so you can move on to your next item on the checklist.

Oh, by the way, don’t forget those G-Force Cone Hats, either. What’s a party without hats? The package includes 8 cardboard hats with elastic chin straps and feature the characters from the terrific new film. Naturally, that character is decked out with all the high tech gear needed to communicate with his pals.

Now also might be a good time to let the whole crew explore their G-Force Party Favor Kits. Each green-and-white striped box contains a mystery pad and decoder, a sticker sheet, a Snap-n-Glow pop, a telescope, and some black slime. If that doesn’t keep them occupied, nothing will!

Those sticker sheets (like the tattoos) also are available separately, along with Green Telescopes. The 7″ long plastic looking glass is perfect for scouting out the enemy. Kids can use the tattoos to identify who is on the good guys team and who is with the bad guys.

Hand out G-Force Mystery Water Paint Boards to keep all the secret agents sharp about how to solve a puzzle. This set of 4 paint boards make it easy to exercise those mental muscles. Just wet a finger and rub to reveal a secret message. Then everyone can huddle and decide how best to invade the bad guys headquarters.

Your birthday planning mission is now nearing a successful conclusion. You’ve told everyone where to meet and stocked up on G Force birthday supplies to keep them covered at the meeting. Now, prepare to save the world!

A babys diet only includes breast milk formula and once they grow up and become toddlers, they have a tendency to select only the food they would like to take in. When you figure out that you baby is growing up and caught up eating junk foods and hate to see veggies on their plates, it is time for you to get some parenting help regarding your picky eater tot.

A child whose age is around one to three years old is considered as toddlers. Wherein in this stage, your kid is beginning to explore everything around her or him and gain new experiences including the food that he or she can eat.

Therefore, how can you be certain that your kid is getting sufficient nutrition as well as a healthy diet? And what are the things that you should do if you feel that you toddler is being a picky eater? The following are a few parenting tips where you can learn a lot of things on how to properly deal with your picky eating toddler:

Learn and understand the nutritional requirements that your toddlers need.

Most of the parents worry whenever they see that their kids pick on the foods that they served during usual meal. Be extra attentive about the appetite of your kid, as this must be the reason why they do not anything for the reason that they are not even hungry.

Be a role model for your kid

Show your kids that you are also eating the food that is being served to them. Provoke the excitement in them that will surely make them eat the food that you are eating, and always keep in mind that being a parent requires you to teach your child and be a very good role model to them.

Stock healthy foods in your fridge and kitchen pantry

Basically, your kids will eat the food that is available in your house. If you have then stored a lot of junk foods and unhealthy foods in your refrigerator and in the kitchen, then your kids will learn eating them in no time. That is why you need to store foods that are nutritious and rich in vitamins so as your kids grow they will learn eating them.

Use your imagination and creativity

Kids are at the point of their lives wherein they try to be independent and make some decisions in their own. This goes the same with learning about the foods that they desire and do not want to take in. As the final tip for parenting, forcing your child to eat what they do not want, consider the truth that you child is still at its stage of being a picky eater.

Training toddlers to use the potty can be one of the most challenging tasks for parents of toddlers. There are many books, resources, and products designed for potty training but it can still be challenging for many children and their parents. While potty training is a rite of passage for young children it should not be a harrowing experience.

Because potty training is challenging for most children at least at first, parents look for help when training their toddler. Here are six tips to make potty training easier.

Your child will be ready for potty training on their own time. While most parents would be happy getting potty training done as soon as possible, many children aren’t ready as soon as parents would like. It is very common for children, especially boys, to not be ready for potty training until age three or even three and a half.

If your child does not take to potty training right away there is nothing wrong with stopping and resuming it when they are ready. It your child is struggling it may be best to try again in a few months when your child is older and may be more receptive.

While accidents should not be rewarded, punishing or belittling a child is counter productive to potty training. Accidents should be handled matter-of-factly without criticism or making a child feel ashamed.

Using pull ups or other training pants that absorb like diapers may keep your child from learning quickly as they cannot feel the wetness. Cloth training pants or regular underwear that allow your child to feel wetness may help them learn better if they are having trouble learning with pull ups.

Many parents would not consider allowing their child to run around the house naked, but doing so can be a good potty training method. Many children find it easier to use learn to use the toilet if they are allowed to forgo pants and underwear.

Make our child feel good about using the toilet, but do not push them or stress out over it. Putting too much pressure on a child to potty train can be counter productive and cause them to have trouble learning.

Parents look forward to the end of diapers, but potty training offers new challenges to the parents of toddlers. Approach potty training only when your child is ready and be sure to use plenty of positive reinforcement and low pressure.

As children grow during their first few years, may of them will start sucking their thumbs or fingers. There are a number of reasons why babies and toddlers do this. First, infants enjoy putting nearly everything in the mouths, so this is a natural extension of that habit. Second, it’s worth remembering that babies find it calming. Sometimes, it’s their way of gaining a level of comfort in unfamiliar environments. Other times, it has a relaxing sensation; it reminds them of being within the womb and often helps them go to sleep more easily.

Whatever the reason that triggers the habit, parents may eventually need to take steps to prevent it. If a toddler continues to suck his thumb, it can affect the development of his mouth and jaw as well as the manner in which his teeth align. And the more intense the sucking, the greater likelihood of potential dental issues. Today’s article will provide a few quick tips for helping your little one kick the habit.

Encourage Rather Than Scold

Most young children develop a sense of independence. By the time they’re four or five, that independence often manifests as a desire to appear mature. This is an opportunity to let your child know how proud he makes you feel. Focus on the items that he no longer needs or uses, such as a comfort blanket, diapers, or even a pacifier. Then, suggest that he considers giving up his thumb on his road to maturity. This method is usually far more effective than scolding.

Ask Your Pediatrician To Intervene

When you visit your doctor, it’s natural to believe she knows what she’s talking about. You trust her advice. For example, if she suggests that you make a certain lifestyle change, you’ll listen because your doctor is an authoritative figure. Your toddler learns to respect authority in the same way. If he hears from the pediatrician that he should give up thumb sucking, he may be more inclined to follow the advice.

Point It Out

The habit can be so strongly ingrained in a toddler’s mind that he may not even realize he’s doing it. He may need you to point it out for him. Come up with a simple, yet fun way that you can let him know he’s doing it without saying anything to him. For example, tell him that whenever he sees you touching the tip of your nose, it means he has started to suck again. Not only does this remove his expectation of being scolded, but it also eliminates any shame he may feel if caught.

A majority of toddlers lose interest in sucking their thumbs long before their parents need to intervene. That said, if the habit sticks, use the tips above to help your little one break it.

In warm weather, kid’s fashions need to be not only stylish, but practical. Little boys will be dressed in shorts and t-shirts for most of the summer months. When you are looking for ways to prepare for the warm weather with your toddler boy, look for style but also think practical. Bear in mind that toddlers tend to be rough and tumble and that this is a time when they are asserting their independence and potty training.

Summer clothes for little kids can be fun as well as sensible. There are many styles out there that are designed not only for keeping toddlers cool, but also for looking cool, too. When getting ready for the warm weather, take the following tips when looking for shorts and t-shirts.

The first thing that you need to look for is comfort. You should be sure that the clothes that you choose for your little one fit properly and allow them room to move around.

In addition, summer fashions should also be easy to get on and off. Kids at this age are potty training and will need to be able to easily take down shorts when they have to go to the potty.

You also want to be sure that the little one clothes are easy to wash. New clothes will not stay new for long on little kids, so be sure you pick those that are easy to wash. Keeping toddlers cool is of the utmost importance when it comes to toddler summer clothes. The clothes should be made for summer use and durable in the hot weather months.

Because toddlers tend to get messy, it is important to look for little one’s fashions that are wash and wear. Look for clothing such as t-shirts and shorts that can go right into the washer and dryer without any trouble.

Because this is an age when children are becoming independent and want to dress themselves, the clothes you choose for your little one should be easy for him to put on. You want to look for clothes that will enable him to dress himself.

You can find clothes that are easy for your little one to put on himself and take off as well as those that keep him cool. On top of that, you can also look for style when you are choosing toddler fashions for your little one. Look for shorts and t-shirts that combine practical use and style when preparing for hot weather with your little one.

If you are looking for a toddler boy gift then you might want to consider a new pair of shoes. Shoes are a lot of fun and you can find many different styles. If you do buy toddler shoes you should consider a few things.

Baby clothes for boys can be the best to buy gifts for. However, a good pair of shoes is the most important. You can find many different types of shoes. It is fun to buy toddler shoes as gifts for boys because most people don’t receive shoes. Shoes can be expensive and they are always appreciated.

No matter how cool the shoes are they won’t be a great toddler boy gift if you don’t take into consideration how comfortable they are. Toddlers are learning to walk. The shoes need to be solid and sturdy. They need to have a good platform to take the right steps and not fall down. When you look at baby clothes for boys and consider a pair of shoes to match you must buy a lightweight pair.

It can really hurt a toddlers feet and legs if the shoes you buy are too heavy. The weight is really important or the baby won’t want to walk. Some people can’t figure out why their baby is crying and all they need to do is take off the shoes. Be sure the shoes are lightweight and practical for walking.

Another reason shoes are excellent gifts for boys are because they are usually needed. Little feet grow quickly and it can be hard to keep up. Most gifts received are usually baby clothes for boys and not shoes. If you are looking for the right toddler gift you might want to think about a pair of slip on shoes that are easy to get on or a pair with Velcro. This way the toddler can learn to put his or her shoes on themselves.

Shoes are an excellent toddler boy gift. Clothes are usually one of the first things purchased and people don’t really think about accessorizing an outfit with a pair of cool shoes. Today you can find any type of shoe for any occasion. It is important to remember when you buy shoes for a toddler you should make sure they are lightweight and for walking. The coolest looking shoes may be the most painful for your baby.
